This is a 3D animated short-film that I directed along with Estelle Guingo, Anne-Amélie Laugier and Tristan Darras. It was made with 3DS MAX for the class of Yoann Gagnon at UQAT (Université du Québec en Abitibi-Témiscamingue).
A little being, wearing an angry-looking mask, worships a totem with a wrathful face. But when he finds a picture of smiling people, he’ll get to change his perspective.
In this project, I first wrote the script with my team and made the storyboard. Then, I modeled and textured the main element of the set : the Totem
I also textured the character and animated the texture so that when it stops flying, its tribal tattoos disappear and its skin gets less transparent.
Then, I created the lighting of the scene, and I animated the cameras.
Finally, I made the renders (with Arnold) and the post-production : editing, mixing, color correcting…
